HET BONHE, Russian for 'No War', is a direct response to the humanitarian crisis that has come from the Russian military's unjust invasion of Ukraine.
With reports of civilian casualties in the thousands, entire cities trapped under siege and families living with no access to clean water or power, many protesters from around the world have taken to the streets with signs calling to an end to the conflict.
Our typeface war created from hand lettered characters, using a bold stroke and preserving as many rough details as possible to emulate the both the urgency of the situation and the strength of the Ukrainian populace. HET BONHE can be used in either Ukrainian or English, with a number of english characters drawing inspiration from visually similar forms in Ukrainian and an alternative 'Z' to avoid the spray-painted insignia that has become synonymous with Russian forces.
